Terms of Service
Last updated: July 21, 2026
These terms govern your use of Heirlytics. By using our website or submitting the intake form, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.
What Heirlytics is — and is not
Heirlytics helps you locate lost financial accounts and assets — your own, or a deceased loved one's — using public and official records, and organizes what it finds so you can act on it.
Heirlytics is not, and does not provide:
- a law firm, or legal advice — we are not a substitute for an attorney;
- tax or investment advice, or financial planning;
- a government agency, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency. Unclaimed property can be claimed directly from your state for free.
We provide information and records for you to use — including within a formal probate or estate process, ideally with your own attorney or advisor.
Always free
Locating assets is free, whether you're searching for your own assets or a family beneficiary or executor searching for a deceased loved one's. We never charge you a fee to search, and we never take a share of any assets that are recovered.
Professional subscriptions
Estate-planning attorneys, financial advisors, and other professionals may subscribe for access to the Heirlytics tool for a flat subscription fee. That fee is for access to the software only. It is not a payment for client referrals or leads, and it is not a share of any professional's fees. Professionals remain solely responsible for their own legal, ethical, and regulatory obligations to their clients.
No guarantee of results or accuracy
We search many sources, but we can't promise that assets exist, that we'll find everything, or that every result is complete or current. Information comes from third-party and public records that we don't control. You are responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it or acting on it.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Heirlytics only for lawful purposes, to provide accurate information, and to confirm that you have a legitimate interest in the estate you're searching. Don't use the service to access information you have no right to.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Heirlytics and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost assets, profits, or data, arising from your use of the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Your state], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
